It's a boy!

We got the ultrasound today and the bulge in Beth's belly is indeed a bouncing baby boy.

So it looks like we'll be getting more paper dinasaurs, like the one above, in a couple years.

Yesterday I got home from the gym, gave Julia a bottle and stuck her in the playpen so I could go take a shower.

I was almost done with my shower when I noticed the shower curtain billow inward, which is usually a sign of the door opening.  I went to stand on my tiptoes to see if the door had indeed opened, when I heard the shower curtain start to rustle.  I had three thoughts that passed through my head within a quarter of a second.  My first thought was that an intruder was in the house, and I tensed up ready to fight.  As soon as I had the thought it left my mind as being a bit ridiculous.  My second thought was that a raccoon had gotten in.  I still thought it could be a raccoon when I thought...could Julia have gotten up here?

That's when she poked her head through the shower curtain and said, "Hi daddy!"

I thought it was so unlikely for her to get out of her playpen that I figured there was a better chance of a raccoon breaking into the house.  I'm still not completely sure how she did it...and she hasn't done it since.  Nevertheless, I close the gate to the stairs now when I go to take my shower.

I swear I have another story as well, but I can't remember it, or even if I have one.  If something comes to me, I'll edit it in...
