Coerced

Much like Michael Jordan, I've been considering coming out of blogging retirement.

Our new girl is on her way, and she deserves similar coverage to Ben's first two years.  There's only one main barrier that stands in the way.  Laziness.
However!  I decided to check in on my destitute and barren blog and low and behold I found the stats page.  It turns out, thirteen people looked in on my blog yesterday!  Who are these people?  My family gave up a while back.  Hope springs...for a little while, as the saying goes.  It turns out, these people are coming from my friend Kelly's running website.  And since my family has checked out, you folks are probably the only ones reading this.  Welcome!  I'm writing this because of you!  We'll see if it sticks!

I might as well start with a cute story about Ben, after all that's kinda the point of the blog for the most part.

We were at Madtown Twisters today and Ben, who's 3, found a friend to bounce in the bouncy house with.  They were having a great time, but the little boy eventually got out and went by his mom.  He held her hand and stood there a bit.  Ben climbed out after him, came up next to him, looked at the boy, looked way up at the mom, back at the boy, and then gently reached for the boys hand.

Like most kids, he tries to emulate the adults and to an extent actually be the adult, and I believe that in this case he was taking the role of daddy on the other side of the boy because that's what Beth and I do in larger places like Church and the mall.  The boy of course wanted nothing to do with Ben's hand, but the gesture was pretty cute none the less.

On another note, I was finally able to download all the movies we took in France, so if all goes to plan, I'll be putting the good ones up in the next several weeks.  We'll see.

About the video:  This was taken in Ben's "room" in France and Ben is giving the motivational speech hopper gives to the other grasshoppers when they are heading back to Ant Island.  If you watch that part of the movie, you'll understand better what Ben is saying.  Amazing how much Ben has improved his talking since September!

For the record, they changed the blogging site again and I do not like how the pictures work...oh wait, I just figured it out, I do like it.    =)
