Mama!

In the last full post my aunt Marcia commented that I always say Ben has issues, but his pictures seem to indicate otherwise. To answer that, I say, yes, he is a lil angel most of the time, but if I didn't talk about all the rough things then A. it would be very boring to read and B. you would not be getting a complete understanding of what it's like to actually be a parent to this child.
I'm going to try to include some of the pics of Ben during frustrating moments in this post...but we don't tend to take a lot during those moments because we are just trying to get through them usually. I have at least 2 I can think of without looking, Beth trying to get his pants on (it's like trying to wrestle an alligator) and Beth nursing him during the day (I'm not exaggerating when I say he stands up with his head on the bed, thus making an "A" and tries to move around while nursing, so we've switched to bottle only during the day, which, despite desperately wanting, he will arch his back and flail around to avoid). If I can find any other pics from the past month, I'll throw them up too.
Ben just started saying "Mama" though over the weekend (The vid is from today and it's a lot longer, but I had to shorten it to get it up on the web quicker). A big win for Beth because, well, she misses her son! I also have some footage with him this close --><-- to walking, but I'll put that up next time. Starting to talk and walk at 8 months? Take that baby book time line!!! =)

(oh ya, and he's been practicing his smile as you can see in both the video and the first pic...and in that first pic I ran outa bibs so yes, that's my shirt on him instead of a bib)

(pps. when he tilts his head and looks above the camera in the video he's looking at himself in the mirror behind the camera)

I don't know why Beth can't keep nursing Ben, she's pretty limber, she could also stand on her head to accommodate him. Let's try harder parents! :) PS - I would definitely encourage Ben to take up wrestling in high school.
Love, Grandma A

Gonna be too tall for wrestling. Besides, he's already got scouts from Georgetown and UConn looking at him for basketball.

Yes, I do believe that he is being scouted already; however; I am sure that just about every sports organization will want him. He is one strong, big handed, big footed (not to mention, probably brilliant) young man. The sky is the limit!
I can hear the sportscasters right now..."unbelievable..Ben Emil Anderson has done it again..broken the worlds record for..." I love you Ben! Grandma A
