I'm working on making a children's book. I have the story written, and I've already made it into a book with real pictures, but now I'm converting it to all drawn pictures. Here's page 1...comments and criticism are not only accepted, but encouraged! I want to know what's wrong with it (except the black lines on the sign and a little on the guy; I know they are spotty and need to be fixed) before I submit it for publishing!
Suggestions for anything I can improve are also welcome! (Remember to click on the picture to see it full size).
The name of the story is "A Walk with Ben and Josh and Bob the Big Blue Bear"
Thanks!

I like it! I don't have much to say for feedback... but I was noticing at the sign and the grass at the same depth of field have different levels of detail. You can pick out every blade of grass, but you can't see the texture of the wood.
I don't know if you care that much, but that's what I have to offer.
Looks like a fun story to read!
A valid point, thanks! I think I'll leave it though because A. it's too much work (c'mon, it's a kids book!) and B. the grass itself has no detail, just color and shape, same with the sign and the tree on the left, color and shape. Made me think about it though, so thank you!
I think the sign fairview trail needs to receed back to the distant tree (to look like the boy (Ben?)---where is Josh?) is walking toward it---the writing comes down to where the sign is. Can you make the people not look like stick people?
Good Luck----Mouse
One more thing if I may---the title of the book is too long===maybe---Ben and Josh meet Bob the Big Blue Bear or just Bob the Big Blue Bear
