Love Stinks

This morning, a terrible thing happened.

Ok, maybe I'm just blowing it out of proportion cause Beth is on a work trip.  Maybe it's not really that bad.  You're impartial...you be the judge.

As it was, I was trying to think of what I could write about for the blog.  I asked, God answered.

I woke up about 6:40 to the tune of "Waaaahhh   Waaaaahhhhh!" If you haven't heard it, it's a good one.  Been in the top 10 for wake up tunes for quite some time now.  You should check it out.

At first I thought, "Great!  She slept till 6:40!"  I knew I didn't have time to go to the bathroom judging by the urgency of the crying....but I didn't really have a choice in the matter.  So I quick ran to the bathroom, threw some clothes on and hurried into her room.

She was standing at the railing, arms outstretched, sleeper zipped down.  That's when I noticed the poop on her fingers.  Not just a smidge.  Not just a pittance.  A whole handful of poop, on both hands...and her hair...and her face, her belly, her bed, her animals, her jammers, the railing and not to mention the diaper itself which was half off, overflowing with thick, blue-green, smelly sticky human feces.

I picked her up.  I was now covered in poo.  I took her to the sink to get the poo off her hands before she sucked on em.  The sink was now covered in poo.  It wasn't coming off very easily, so I took her to the tub and stood her next to it while I got the big chunks off with a wipe.  The floor was now covered in poo.  Still streaked with it, I stuck her in the tub and started pouring water over her. Can you guess what the tub was then covered in?  Poo?  Hey!  You're right!

I washed her up, dried her, got clothes on her at arms length, and then put her in Ben's room to play with Ben while I took a shower.

So whatchya think?  I'm probably overreacting right?  No big deal!  Just like a glass of spilled milk!  Except the glass is a diaper.  The the milk is poo.  And the milk goes over just about everything.  And it's rotten.  But hey!  No big deal!

Though I could have used a bloody mary to start the day with after that...

In other news.  Beth is gone till Sunday.  We got our piano.  And it was Ben's special day at school today.

OHHHH NOOOOO...you were not over reacting! I'm glad that it was you and not me! I have my own "poo" story about Eli, but it's not nearly as bad as yours. We babysat for Cayden and Eli, I think last TH. I put Eli in the tub and while he was playing hide and seek with the shower doors, he was also pooping in the water - very loose but still chunky poop. After taking Eli out and cleaned up the tub I also tried unsuccessfully to watch Eli, I turned around twice...once he was sucking on dad's toothbrush, the second time he was sucking on dad's hairbrush. YUCK On another note...dad did exactly what Julia did when he was a toddler....guess it runs in the family : )
