Point being, learning something new is hard, especially if you don't even know the general context for how you should act. At Lil C's, I didn't know that co-workers were allowed to play tricks on you. I didn't know the floor had to be swept every day. I didn't know the dishes had to be done every night. I didn't know that there was a very precise way in which to answer the phone. I didn't know that at the end of the shift I could make my own pizza to take home, which I did. (I later suspected that this policy may have led to the demise of Little Caesar's in Middleton) I had to learn these things. To do that, I kept my eyes open, asked lots of questions and tried to do everything I saw other people doing.
Ben is a new employee. We interviewed him via ultrasound, found him to be a suitable candidate, brought him into the company, slapped a "Hi! My name is... BEN" name tag on him and put him to work. Here's the great part: I, am Little Caesar.
A dedicated employee, it's almost frightening how much Ben wants to learn. Every time you turn around there is a pair of large eyes watching; Asking, "Why did you look over there? Why did you touch that clicky thingy? What are you gonna do now?"
His fervor has not gone unnoticed, and Benjamin Anderson has just been promoted to 3 months old. Woo hoo! ...right?
Sorta. With the promotion comes an adjustment period. This period includes changing sleeping, eating and playing patterns. Unfortunately for me, he's also starting to demand benefits.
These seem to include: crying for no gol-durn reason, not taking naps...just because, and waking up 4 times as often during the night.
Anyway, it's not easy figuring new stuff out, and the best way to go about figuring new stuff out is to watch the old pros, and Ben's on top of that. One thing he just learned recently in fact is that he has hands (see the bottom pic)! It's just a theory to him at this point, but after repeated sightings, he's starting to suspect that they belong to him.
Somewhere down the line he starts the imitation phase of his job...and that's where daddy Caesar get's to teach him sports! =)

Good description of Ben - he DOES have big eyes and he does watch everything you do. You forgot to mention how much he likes to watch himself in the mirror. Even while tired he smiled and talked to himself. Such a doll! (hopefully that's okay to say for a boy baby :)
