We've also been working on gettin him on his stomach when he's awake and not crying...a rarity to be sure (though he has been getting better at that too).

Week 3 Part 1
This week's been tough due to Ben's ability to process something in mommy's milk. Possibly dairy. So, much to the chagrin of Dr. Mrs. Anderson, mommy has cut herself off from dairy for a bit to see if that helps Ben de-gas himself.
The poor lil guy has been in constant pain all week from the build up.
Don't get me wrong, the poo is coming out just fine (we check before feedings, so it's usually 10-12 times from midnight to midnight). We got a tip from my friend Amy, and now we are trying "Gripe Water". A volleyball friend, Ben, mentioned that it worked well for his kids too. Ben seems to be doing a bit better lately, but it's hard to tell what exactly is helping him. As long as he's better right!?

Also in the Anderson family news, my tutoring after school will be over after this week so that I can be home to help out with Benjamin a little more. This will give mommy some time to go out of the house and see what the world looks like again. And, I recently found out that I do not have a teaching contract for next year, so unless a teaching job pops up, I may be a stay at home dad next year. Either works for me, so we'll just see what happens!

WOW! Someday Ben will need to read this and know just how sacrificial his parents have been! Wish I could help more. Hang in there, love Grandma A or (Nana if you'll let me be Nana).
Ditto re: NANA's comments----what terrific parents and I'm sure you will all figure it out in a few months and sleep will return to the ANderson house----Love to all--Mouse
Too bad about the contract. It's OK to be the full time baby daddy though; we can hang out when we're both unemployed next spring.
