And here are more Louvre pics since I don't have any pics from today.
This morning, Ben and I headed back to the Jardin du Luxembourg.
We passed garbage. Piles. Hills. Mountains. Walking out our door, the garbage was starting to engulf and digest the pay-for-use bikes parked on the street. On another street, there was a pile in front of a restaurant that started on the sidewalk, was about 8 feet wide and overflowed halfway into the street. These were not anomalies; it was everywhere.
Beth is a very smart lady. She has many strong suits. She will be the first to tell you that observation is not one of them. ;)
Aside from the garbage, it got cold today. It's been upper 50's to lower 60's for the past month or so, but when I woke up to run this morning, I really wished that I had brought gloves. By the end of my ten minute run my hands were completely numb.
We got to the Jardin and there was light rain. I knew there would be, but Ben insisted on going to the park with the train. If we're at home, we play trains. If we go somewhere, we take a train. The place we go should have a train. Duh.
It was windy too, and I had Ben stop and listen to and watch the wind blowing the leaves on several occasions. He stood very still and had the glazed look of someone in awe, though now and then his eyes flicked to different trees as the wind tore through them.
We had to go however when Ben was pushing me on the merry go round and soaked his gloves. I thought I had a second set, but one is MIA, so I put the one I had on him, and had him put his other hand in his sleeve. His lips were blue, but my little one handed man insisted he was not cold.
We came back and had a regular 'ol afternoon (eat, sleep, store, trains).

Either you are fascinated by art work depicting mothers nursing their children OR that is the only type of artwork the Louvre has! :) And may I add that much of it is bizarre! Thanks for sharing these pics.
