The Day Before Tomorrow

Not much to say today. Well, there’s a little, but I’m finding it hard to get the motivation to want to really go into detail.

I was up at 3am (since Beth has been up at 3am the past 3 nights) and couldn’t get back to sleep. I turned off my running alarm and decided that due to Beth’s morning sickness, it wouldn’t be a good idea to take any chances waking Beth up in the morning any more. If she was still sleeping at that point. Which she wasn’t because she woke up at 4am sick. Luckily it didn’t last long and she was able to get back to sleep for a bit.

After Beth left for work, Ben and I went to get some pastries. We arrived home to find…Beth! The trains have been running weird lately, and Beth would have had to get off on a bus before her stop and try to figure out how to get to the hospital on the fly. She wasn’t up for that. Instead, she was nauseous all day and worked on her talk. That she may or may not give.

Ben and I then went to Gymboree where he had a blast. There was a foam ramp and a big barrel to push up it. Ben pushed it up and I told him he was Dot (the baby ant he always wants to be from A Bugs’ Life) and that he was pushing a grape up a hill. He loved it; he wanted to do that the whole hour.

Home, nap and then we went shopping. Beth wanted to look for some clothes that will accommodate the little one she will be harboring in her belly, but we didn’t find any. So we headed to the Monoprix to get our food for the night (frozen bagel pizzas) and a candle. Beth’s oversensitivity to smells prompted us to buy at least one for the apartment, though if we had the money, we’d get one for every square inch of the city.

Dinner and Beth worked some more.

Ben decided to have a testing day for Beth as well. Though she was mostly working, any time she was alone with him today, he wouldn’t listen to her at all. He earned one time out and came razor edge close to at least 6 others. I think he sensed her in a weakened state.

He went to sleep and I went running. I do not enjoy running at night. If it were just running, ok fine, I'm weird, bye bye, I'm already a block past your weird look. But it's not. I'm training for basketball, so it's also side to side sprint things and jump rope type stuff where I jump up on a small ledge 50 times. As people walk by me.

And! Two girls stopped to ask me where something was! In my running stuff, while I'm panting! I've stopped mentioning it because it happens so often now, but I feel I might be the friendliest looking person on earth. I get asked for directions on almost a daily basis now. Sometimes twice in a day. It's crazy.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow!

Ask Beth...they must be asking you directions because you are a cute guy (silly).
