Apple of my Ipod Touch and Go get Some Apps

This picture nearly cost me my life. Sort of. I was told "no pictures," but I'm assuming the penalty was death. (She told me after I took it)

We really didn't do anything yesterday. Stayed at home and played. We went out for school supplies for Beth and did a little shoe shopping; Beth wants some cool birthday boots.

I did go to the Apple store yesterday, for like 4 hours in total.

My parents gave me an IPod Touch a couple years ago as a birthday present. It was a lovely gift, but I had no real use for it. Here, I found a use for it! Up until Grandmo's package was sent, it was my clock (now I have a watch, which feels weird). And yesterday, I thought, wait a sec, this thing can do apps too...what about a chess app? and a French/English dictionary App??

So at the store, I found someone to help. They took my touch, eyes wide open, they started showing it to all their colleagues. I have version 1 of the Ipod Touch, so apparently it was like someone walking into a comic convention with the original superman figurine.

Well, the guy said I had to update in order to download apps, but it would wipe my memory. I said sure, it's worth it. Updated, I was told to head downstairs and they would hook up my apps account to my itunes account. They told me, I wasn't updated enough, go home and hook to my computer and it should auto update.

It didn't. I told him it wouldn't. I was now annoyed.

Headed back after dinner. Was told I just had to buy a new Ipod. Then I talked to someone else who updated it for me. Without wiping my memory. A little late since I lost all my songs from my computer, which is back in the states. So, updated, I try to download an app. Credit card won't go through. The guy tells me it happened to him the first time too, I just have to wait a few hours.

I don't believe him this time.

I go downstairs and another guy, who was Bucky Badger at UW Madison, helped me out.

So, there are a ton of free apps, so I got 2 free chess games and 1 free translator and 1 free french learning tool. Unfortunately the translator requires wifi, which is hard to find unless you're sitting in a cafe, so I'll go back tomorrow and get a different one. But it works now! Woo hoo!

This was a rushed one cause we're leaving for the Louvre. But that was about all that was interesting yesterday!
