This morning we watched the Winnie the Pooh movie and then went out shopping. Ben's been singing, "I'm just a little black rain cloud..." all day long. =)
Beth wanted to look for shoes, so she did that while Ben pushed the stroller out on the sidewalk with me accompanying him. He was fine and even told me when he wanted some food.
Beth got some nice black boots and we found another 1 euro cheapo scarf that I tied around the bottom of Ben's stroller so he could have a foot rest; he hasn't had one this whole time and keeps putting his feet on the wheels. (I made sure we were out of sight of the salesman before using his merchandise as a foot rest for my son)
Then we wandered a bit and made our way to the toy store where we purchased -trumpet sounds off- *duh* *duh duh* *duuuuhhhhh*: a BIG Brio train set for Ben for Christmas.
It comes with like 4 trains, and with the train Grandmo is sending, that's gonna make 6 trains. That's enough for Ben, Cayden, Eli, Joseph, Josh and Jeremy! (Sorry (sister) Beth, you can play with the livestock it comes with though...) Second thought, maybe not Eli yet, we want to play with the trains at least a couple weeks before they're eaten. =) My spot can be taken by a grandparent if they want it; I'll probably still be eating American food.
Then we had to leave the train store.
You know how Wesley sounds in Princess Bride? Ben had to leave his true love, so the sound was similar. All the way home. (Mile and a half or so)
We fed him and he was a little better, and then he napped. Not.
The day went downhill from there. We went to the grocery store, and came home, all the way home, in screaming tears. We played cars, and cried when we had to eat a snack we needed. We played Pooh Bear, and cried when dad started dinner. And on and on.
Beth is currently stalling by reading him stories, though I'm not sure he'll even make it to 8 tonight.
Found a good breakfast place for tomorrow morning (the menu looked good anyway), so we're gonna check that out.
For now, we rented a movie on itunes, a Beth movie, for 99 cents, so we'll see how that goes. The site Crystal mentioned looks promising though, so we'll try that next time we're looking for a movie.
