Cineaqua: Take 2

Though I finally figured out how to auto-focus and set the apurature to what I need for good in the dark pictures (I use auto ap most of the time), I think this is the best picture I took today (the first one). It ties in well with our Monet visit; I think it has the same feel.

It looked to be a somewhat rainy day, so we headed to the aquarium to take a second look at deep sea life.

Same stuff as last time. Ben was interested, but not overly. Beth says we should take advantage of having an aquarium so close, which is true, but it doesn't seem to impress this two year old enough for multiple visits it would seem.

We got about half way through before I realized how to fix the camera settings, so I made Ben go back to the beginning with me. Luckily it's a small place.

Ben also got to touch some of the fish this time since they were so near the surface; he was pretty excited. Another kid there was like the beast-master and had the fish swarming to him and sticking their heads out of the water to give him air kisses. I'm thinking his parents rolled him in fish food prior to their visit.

Near the end there is a theater for kids with a movie that plays every other hour. So we caught the end of "Shark Tale", in French (with subtitles).

Then we got a snack in the cafeteria before heading back to the subway and home.

I'm now typing this and hoping that Ben will take a nap. I get the feeling he won't though. This will make 3 out of the 4 past days with no nap. I will be very unhappy if this is the end of nap time as we know it.

Cool pictures - I actually like the last one with you and Ben silhouetted. Did you ask a random aquarium goer to take that picture? That kid you mentioned probably was really stinky and so the fish were drawn to him. Maybe you can plan your next visit when Ben hasn't had a bath for a few days and plays with some worms right before going in. :) xxx Mom/Nana
