1. Robert's engaged!!I've been good friends with Bob since 8th grade. We made some sweet animations together in DOS. Almost killed a deer with our BB guns (we were this close...). Made a rockin' video game involving a dude with saw arms (if I'm remembering correctly) in computer art class sometime in HS. Roomed together after college (for me, after marines and during electrical school for Bob) and had side-by-side Xboxes while we got stomped by 4th graders in Halo. And all sorts of other good stuff.
He's very recently become engaged to Nicole Hepner, who is an excellent scrabble player, and will be wedded in May (pretty sure...btw, is it the 13th? If you could make it the 13th that would really help me keep track of both of ours. Think on it.) of 2012 in Minnesota.
Congratulations Robert and Nicole!
2. My dad bonked his melon.

While shooting a wedding yesterday, he stepped back and tripped on the fountain behind him knocking his head on the rock and sinking, like said rock, while my mom finished up her picture.
He woke up wet and without any memory of it happening.
He was rushed to the hospital for a CT, and after no internal bleeding was confirmed, he made it back to the wedding to make sure he had the ceremony shots. After which my mom finished up.
Let no one say my parents are not professionals!!!
Prayer for his mental safety is now, as always, appreciated.
I have been warned, by several people now, that terrorists are possibly planning an attack "somewhere in Europe".
Allow me to alleviate your fears.
First, we got the military walking around everywhere. And they have guns. And guns are good according to the NRA. So we're set, right?
And second, if the worst should happen and we die, we are a family of Christ followers, so though you may miss us, be assured, we're probably better off than everyone left here.
Three posts in one day!! How lucky are you guys!!?

Oh my goodness, Josh. You certainly were the weekend warrior of the blogging world. As usual, laugh-out-loud funny and great photos.
Bob, congratulations! You and Nicole make a very cute couple.
Tim, Sorry about your head. What dedication. Hope you're not dealing with an aftermath headache today. If so, you know where to go to get some good pain medication.
Judging from the state of many of those French statues, one could almost deduce that the climate is usually very warm over there.
Haha.. Thanks whitey! We have had some great times.. That deer is lucky to be alive.. Wedding date could change I will keep you updated.. Going to see if your dad is around for or even up to doing engagement photos around xmas time.. That is also the time we will have to meet up.. And for the record.. Since like 1800 the french have never proved they know how to use those rifles they carry.. Stick near the US embassy where atleast u have US Marines guarding it.. Bob
Wow... Josh -- You go to France and all the exciting stuff happens here! ... Bob -- congrats, didn't even know you had a girlfriend! (I'll chalk that up to not having seen you in a long time, and not sheer surprise that you have a girlfriend/now fiance.)... Bob and Josh -- I bet that gun the guy is carrying in the picture would have killed that deer.
